popular music

The 1880s and 1890s are known as The Golden Age of Music in Norway. Edvard Grieg and Johan Svendsen are prominent composers at the time. A notable element of their music is that they incorporated Norwegian folk music (inspired by the nationalist Ole Bull).

Moments where music can be incorporated into the production are in preparation for the Christmas Party and during the Christmas Party which takes place above Nora and Helmer's apartment.

In preparation for the Christmas party, Helmer and Dr. Rank play the tarantella as Nora dances in the living room, rehearsing for her performance at the party.
